Ian Rickuss to retire at next State Election

Member for Lockyer, Ian Rickuss said that following discussions with his wife, Ann, and family, he had decided to retire at the next State election. Mr Rickuss said it has been an honour and a privilege to represent the constituents of the Lockyer in the State Parliament. Member for Lockyer, Ian Rickuss MP said the Palaszczuk Labor Government has threatened almost 700 jobs at the New Hope Group’s Mining operations at Acland, Ipswich and surrounding areas by doing dirty deals with crossbench MPs to push through controversial new water laws in State Parliament this week.
